About Dibrugarh Polytechnic
Dibrugarh Polytechnic is the only diploma level engineering institute in the eastern part of Assam. It was established in 1965. It is situated at Lahoal(Dibrugarh district) about 1.8 km away from 37th National Highway. It is surrounded by lash green tea gardens providing excellent environment for study. It has been successfully providing technical manpower to the industries of Dibrugarh and its nearby districts.
The institute is under the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Assam and is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
At present there are three branches of engineering, namely Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with total intake capacity of 140 students.
